Animatronic talking Celt
'Setantii Tales of Tameside' museum Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire, England
March 2002
A complex animatronic figure with moving head and arms -
the skin is silicone and the mouth is animated to sync with the soundtrack,
the neck turns and nods,
the right arm is hinged at the elbow and shoulder with offset axis so compound moves are made,
the left arm is hinged at the elbow.

In January 2012 Museum Development North West closed two of their six museums one of which was the Setanti Museum in Ashton Town Hall, some of the Setanti displays were transfered to the Portland Basin Museum in Ashton, although from the floor plan the Celt was not amongst them..
